Travel the World with the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center
WVSAC has a travel agent on staff who works with an agency to plan and organize our trips. We take care of everything, including travel, tour buses, accommodations, venue tickets and most meals. All you have to do pay the package fee and show up! Let us take all the stress out of planning and organizing your next adventure!
How Does the Travel Program Benefit the Senior Center? We receive a commission from the travel agency for each booking, so your vacations help support the senior center. All of the proceeds we receive are used to support our operating fund, benefitting thousands of local seniors.
Do I Need To Be a Senior To Participate? No! While we operate this program to complement our senior center activities, you do not need to be a senior or a senior center members to participate in our trips. In fact, it's common for seniors to bring along younger family members.
Where Can I Learn About Upcoming TripsAll of our trips are posted on our activity calendar. You can see upcoming trips in the list view below. You can also see upcoming trips on the main activity calendar by searching for #trips. Subscribe to our calendar and you'll automatically see new trips as they are added.
We also offer group travel presentations during the year where you can visit with our in-house travel agent and a representative of our travel agency partners. And of course, you are welcome to contact our program director at any time and they'll be happy to meet with you one on one to plan your adventure. What Are the Benefits of Traveling with Our Program? The Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center operates a travel program featuring guided tours across the country and around the globe. Be sure to check out our travel blog for photos, videos and written descriptions of our previous trips and details on future trips as they become available.
Is The Senior Center Still Offering Day Trips?Unfortunately, not at this time. The cost of local transportation, such as chartered buses, has skyrocketed over the past few years. This has made the cost of local trips unrealistic. We continue to look for feasible options and hope to bring back local day trips in the near future.
