We've known for a few weeks now but weren't able to make this announcement until the official awards ceremony hosted by the Wenatchee World: The Second Chance Thrift Shop has been awarded World's Best Thrift Store for the 8th year in a row.
Together, board members have now contributed $60,000 toward the project fund. The 10 members of the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center Board of Directors are leading by example to support the center’s capital improvement project.
WENATCHEE - In remembrance of Veterans Day, each year the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center selects a local veteran to honor with a hand-made, commemorative quilt donated by their quilting group. This year they chose Bob Aldridge, a longtime member at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center. He was presented with the award during a lunchtime ceremony in the senior center's social hall on Friday, November 8.
