The Washington State Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is now accepting applications for the 2025 season.
The Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center's annual meeting and election is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18th at 1:30 p.m. in the Social Hall. Our Nominating Committee will accept applications for board membership through Friday, May 16th. This year, we are accepting nominations for two board positions expiring at the end of June. The Chairman and the Director B positions will be voted on.
To be considered for nomination for election to Chairman of the Board, candidates must have served on the Board for at least one year within the preceding two administrative years. If you are interested in serving in these positions, please pick up an application packet at the reception desk. by Russ Alman, Communications Director Members of the Senior Center Writers Group hosted a “Book Buzz” event during lunch on February 28, offering an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the group, talk with individual writers and even purchase printed copies of the writers’ works.
Recently, Jim Tarbert, a longtime member of the group and a former facilitator, and John Gallanis, the current group facilitator, talked about how the group has helped them grow as writers and become published authors. by Russ Alman, Communications Director You see them everywhere: square “QR Codes” with all the dots in them. But what are they exactly and how do you use them?
